Welcome to the information page for the AutismOne 2017 Continuing Medical Education Program, a joint collaborative initiative of AutismOne, the American Association of Integrative Medicine, and the American Academy of Pediatric Osteopathy. This year’s innovative educational program offers multiple days of learning. And it is anticipated that it will offer 23.25 credit hours available for doctors, nurses,* and healthcare professionals*.

IMPORTANT:  Healthcare professionals, please attend the Thursday CME lecture day, the Friday CME think tank day (licensed healthcare professionals only), and the Saturday CME think tank half-day (licensed healthcare professionals only). The Saturday afternoon endocannabinoid medicine CME credit program is optional (additional 3 credits), but Th/Fri/Sat a.m. is a prerequisite for this.

We have kept the prices the same as 2016, even with the additional credit hours anticipated to be offered.

This one-of-a-kind educational program aims to educate healthcare professionals in state-of-the-art approaches to integrative pediatrics and current science as it applies to autism spectrum disorders. This includes a review of evidence-based approaches and examination of cutting-edge and innovative therapies currently being researched. This educational offering will create and enhance and a knowledge base in the area of integrative pediatrics for the healthcare professional and, thereby, increase their understanding and knowledge of integrative pediatrics. Knowledge of integrative approaches to the pediatric population will increase a practitioner's ability to understand current complementary therapies the patient is using as well as to augment the practitioner’s ability to advise or implement integrative approaches that will benefit patients.

Please note: PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROGRAM.

BOARD CERTIFIED IN INTEGRATIVE PEDIATRICS (BCIP)

For those clinicians (MD, DO, DC, ND, OMD, etc.) with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in the field of integrative medicine, the American Association of Integrative Medicine is offering board certification credentialing in integrative pediatrics. For a limited time, the Board Certified in Integrative Pediatrics, BCIP, designation may be obtained through a professional portfolio review by the BCIP Board and completion of the BCIP beta exam. Applicants must have attended THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AND HALF-DAY SATURDAY PLUS COMPLETED THE EXAM as well as hold a current unrestricted license in their field of expertise (i.e., medicine, chiropractic, naturopathic medicine, nursing, etc.). (One-time BCIP certification fee of $395 for AAIM is paid to AutismOne; additionally, AAIM charges $165 annually [paid to AAIM directly by the healthcare professional] as an AAIM membership and maintenance fee. A credentialing process from AAIM, including license verification and references is required.) BCIP certificate holders who have attended AutismOne will be listed on the AutismOne website as a service to families seeking integrative care.

ENDOCANABINOID MEDICINE SEMINAR ONLY

For healthcare providers who ONLY would like to attend the 3-hour endocannabinoid medicine seminar on Saturday, AutismOne will issue an AutismOne Certificate of Attendance for this 3-hour seminar. (AutismOne 2017Conference registration is prerequisite; extra charge applies.)
