In Midst of Epidemic, Autism International Association's
Autism Science Digest ® to enter retail outlets
Los Angeles, CA - Autism International Association signed this month for its premier publication, Autism Science Digest: The Journal of AutismOne, to enter the retail market. Current estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicate epidemic numbers of 1 in 110 children and 1 in 68 boys affected by an autism spectrum disorder, while earlier CDC numbers cited an alarming 1 in 6 children affected by a behavioral or developmental problem. To address the urgent need that these statistics demonstrate, Autism Science Digest will bring vital information about relevant research and treatment to the public.

Autism Science Digest is a great resource for parents
I can not say enough positive things about Autism Science Digest. I have used articles to advocate for needed medical care for my sons.The articles have also been helpful in explaining complex medical concerns to school staff. The articles are written in every day language that anyone including parents, grandparents, teachers and physicians can understand. This magazine is a great way to introduce someone not in the autism community to complex concepts such as mitochondrial disorders, cerebral folate deficiency and immune dysfunction.

Impressive science, important information, fantastic layout
I've been a subscriber to many autism publications in the last decade, and nothing compares to the isues of Autism Science Digest. What a relief to have a periodical with some information to be shared. I really appreciated the article on motochondrial abnormalities discussed by a neurologist, which included a checklist to complete and provide to your physician. That's a handy guide for anyone, and since it;'s written by a neurologist, credible to MD's. Teri Arranga has a real talent for providing just what weary parents want to know. Thanks for providing such a dynamic magazine for the community!
