Beginning the Biomedical Journey

How do you start your biomedical journey when you have just received the diagnosis of autism for your child or when you suspect your child has autism? This presentation will review laboratory testing and clinical history that are important in identifying potential problems that might be contributing to autism. The treatment of several metabolic conditions has been reported to reverse or improve autism in some cases, and emphasis will be placed on screening for these problems.
