We will discuss autism in the context of our world today in Los Angeles: Street violence, drugs, TV, emotional and physical abuses in the home and community. How do we see our role in developing a safe world for the autistic person? What is new in our communities? What is the autistic person's future? Is it a self-contained community? Is it integrated? Will the typical world ever permit the autistic person to take a lead role in government? In the military? Education?
