The Ides of October: How My Grandson Saved My Life

October 2009 began my long journey of recovery after being injured by a flu vaccination. That was the day I died. November 2009 I was hospitalized for paralysis and the doctor confirmed it was from the flu shot. The months that followed were spent in the hospital and a nursing facility and I was sent home on hospice status. My life was saved by methods my daughter used to help my grandson who has Asperger's. This was not the end of my journey. I am still struggling to put my life back together.
