Integrative Medical Interventions for ASD

Dr. Usman will discuss the various causation theories involved in the epidemic of autism. She will decribe how the biomedical world approaches the link between our genetics and the enviornment. She will also review landmark studies that have become the core of the integrative approach to autism, particularly involving methylation, redox signaling, gastrointestinal issues, mitochondrial dysfunction, and immune dysregulation.

Dr. Anju Usman is director of True Health Medical Center in Naperville, Illinois. She specializes in biomedical interventions for children with ADD, autism and related disorders. She has been involved in research regarding copper/zinc imbalances, biofilm related infections, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. She serves on the boards for ASI, TACA, and Generation Rescue. She is board certified in family practice and in integrative and holistic medicine.

Alicia Miller, ND

Alicia Miller, ND, is a naturopathic doctor who focuses on family medicine, with emphasis on women's health, pediatrics, ASD, ADHD, autoimmune conditions, endocrine, digestive issues, adrenal dysfunction, environmental medicine, and methylation issues.
She is a graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.
