New data describing molecular findings in GI-symptomatic children with ASD (CME track/practitioner registrants only)

Stephen Walker, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Genetics and Developmental Biology at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine who, with Dr. Arthur Krigsman, is  developing a non-invasive blood-based biomarker for gastrointestinal (GI) inflammation in children with autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Walker will present the latest research strategy and data from his group’s ongoing molecular studies to understand GI pathology and gastrointestinal symptoms in this population. Exciting new data describing molecular findings in GI-symptomatic children with ASD who experience chronic right-sided colonic hypomotility (slow transit) will also be discussed.
