This will be an exploration into the world of microbes and their effect on human behavior. The evolution of PANDAS and PITANDs, to PANS will be reviewed as well as the role of microorganisms from Group A streptococcus and candida to parasites and Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme disease). The pluses and pitfalls of laboratory testing, the place of IVIG and the worth and worry of long term antibiotic therapy will be discussed.
