Twitter Basics 101

Join Me in stepping out of our comfort zones. Twitter is the new social animal simple party line that everyone is on the same page. It gives us the opportunity to open a dialog in a non-combative way. With only 140 letters to say what you have to say, editorial comment and exaggeration must be left on the cutting room floor. All factions are represented. It is time we stop preaching to the choir and move out into the real world. This is a call not just for action but for representation of those that know there are answers lurking within our reach for all individuals & Families dealing w Autism.

Today I am asking you to sign on or sign up for twitter. Go to the search box on the right hand side and enter #UWAC or #Autism. That will bring up on your screen all the conversations about Unity within Autism Community or conversations about Autism. Read a few. Respond if you like. Anything that will promote Unity within our multifaceted community. In your short comment always include the # number sign before Autism ( IE #Autism , #AutismOne or the letters #UWAC. That way others can continue the conversation. I am always available for personal Twitter lessons at realtannersdad@gmail.com)

People ask me why twitter? Twitter is a megaphone to the world. Everybody who is anybody has a presence on twitter. Life is moving fast, attention spans are less, and there just is too much noise. To some Twitter looks like more noise. To the Advanced Autism advocate it is a tool of duplication. A billboard on the superhighway for years to come promoting Autismone.org, your blog, an important article, just educate, build awareness. Best of all it is free and again everyone is on the same playing field.

Do not be afraid of twitter. Say hello to TannersDad Anytime & I will get you started.
