For centuries, medicine has made reckless use of mercury, one of the earth’s most toxic substances, with the tragic consequences often ignored. Today environmental pollution, including global emissions of mercury as well as other toxicants, is also of great concern. We connect mercury exposures to the first cases of autism diagnosed in the 1940s. By exposing the roots and rise of The Age of Autism, our book attempts to point the way out – to a safer future for our children and the planet.
Mark Blaxill, MBA
Mark Blaxill is the father of a daughter diagnosed with autism, Editor-at-Large for Age of Autism, a director of SafeMinds and a frequent speaker at autism conferences. He has published several peer-reviewed scientific papers on autism and writes often on autism, science and public policy issues for Age of Autism. He received degrees from Princeton University and Harvard Business School and has recently co-authored a book on autism, The Age of Autism: Mercury, Medicine and a Man-made Epidemic.

We continue to use & Add to the poisons in our environment. The diagnosis of children continue to escalate to Pandemic levels.
Mercury Spill Closes H1N1 Flu Shot Clinic. Oh The Irony!
A “broken thermometer” is the apparent cause of an all too ironic mishap at the Greenbush School in West Warwick R.I. this past Friday afternoon. An H1N1 Flu Vaccine Clinic was being held when a thermometer was apparently broken, causing the evacuation of the clinic and a subsequent call to a Hazmat team for clean-up. Perhaps many within the community of West Warwick will view this as an unfortunate incident that has caused the clinic to shut down prematurely, thus allowing many of those wanting to be vaccinated, as of yet unprotected.

Mercury through Generations – Similarities in Impacts from Vaccines and Calomel Teething Powders
