We could use your opinions and ideas as far as autism and being on a tight budget.
Times are rough. I recently spoke with a young mother of two children, one of which is three years old and has autism. Making matters even more complicated is a recent diagnosis of epilepsy with the boy.

Intervening IN a child's life, not ON it

I recently had the opportunity to observe two parents responding to their child's need for external structure and support in a way that many of my colleagues would label as "feeding in" to the child's behavior. When the child laid down on the floor while making loud, keening noises, the child's father laid down beside him, stroking his stomach and reassuring the boy that it was OK. His mother, upon seeing this, came to her son's side and did the same thing. Both parents, on the floor, intervening IN their child's life.

Power Point Presentation
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the only scientifically validated treatment for autism and is recommended by the U.S. Surgeon General.

ABA treatment became popular in the mid-1990’s when Catherine Maurice, a parent of two children with autism who both “recovered” from autism using this approach, published two books detailing Lovaas type ABA therapy.

How little people know or care to know about Autism

"Don't get me started." I hear that often or say it to myself many times a day, I must have had the Autism Environment Vaccines question discussion more than 10,000 times. Two things struck me this morning. 1. How little people actually know or care to know about Autism. 2. I realized I have never had someone even from the medical community, not validate the concerns of families dealing with Autism and vaccine injury.
