We will discuss autism in the context of our world today in Los Angeles: Street violence, drugs, TV, emotional and physical abuses in the home and community. How do we see our role in developing a safe world for the autistic person? What is new in our communities? What is the autistic person's future? Is it a self-contained community? Is it integrated? Will the typical world ever permit the autistic person to take a lead role in government? In the military? Education?

Welcome - Words Win Wars

Greetings! It gives me great pleasure to welcome you. Our new website follows and extends the curve of our founding principles: Parents are, and must remain the driving force of our community, the stakes are too high and the issues too sacred to delegate to outside interests.

The AutismOne conference has always been a conversation of hope recognizing “none of us is smarter than all of us,” while encouraging and embracing independent thought – but, once a year in Chicago is not enough. The conversation needs your thoughts, ideas, and experiences year round.

My online support group is growing

Today I have spent many hours with new members that have joined our online support group. It is exciting that so many people are getting the message about recovery. Here is a link to our group if you would like to join. It is open to everyone. I am located in Canada, but we have members that come from all over the world. We have just over 100 members but lately we have added about 5 new members per day.

Exercise at its Best

Yesterday I was working out and saw what I have been advocating for, for the past 6+ years.
I was working out at a track near my house. There is not much there but a track, some pull-up bars, stairs, and my bag of equipment. As I was running a few laps on the track I noticed a dad walking up with his two boys and girl.
