THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you register with Our Website, you voluntarily provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, your email address, your telephone number, your address, your gender, schools attended and any other personal or preference information. As a Member you may set up your personal profile, form relationships, send messages, perform searches and queries, form groups, set up events, add applications, and transmit information through various channels. We collect this information so that we can provide you the service and offer personalized features. In most cases, we retain it so that, for instance, you can return to view prior messages you have sent or easily see your friend list. When you update information, we usually keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information.
Any User purchasing goods from Our online Store will automatically have a Member profile created with a username and email. If You do not want to participate in or be a part of the AutismOne Social Network then please delete your profile.

If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as your friend's email address. We will send your friend an email or instant message in your name inviting him or her to visit the site, and may send up to two reminders to them. Our Website stores this information to send invitations and reminders, to register a friend connection if your invitation is accepted, to allow you to see invitations you have sent, and to track the success of our referral program.
Our Website may also collect information about you from other sources, such as newspapers, blogs, instant messaging services, and other users of Our Website service through the operation of the service (e.g., photo tags) in order to provide you with more useful information and a more personalized experience.
CHANGING OR REMOVING INFORMATION
Access and control over most of your personal information on Our Website is readily available through Our profile editing tools. As a Member you may modify or delete any of your profile information or deactivate your account at any time by logging into your account. Information will be updated immediately. Removed information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will not be generally available to members of Our Site.
If you ask Us to stop using your PII, We will honor that request while retaining any record of your PII that is necessary to comply with applicable federal, state or local law.
When you make use of the communication features of Our service to share information with other individuals on Our Site (e.g., sending a personal message to another User) you generally cannot remove such communications.
OUR USE OF YOUR PII
We allow Users to browse for certain of your Profile in order to help connect with Members. Search engines may index the portion of your Profile that is publicly displayed.
If you have consented to receive promotional materials (e.g., newsletters) or notifications from Us, We may periodically use your email address to send you such materials related to the Our services, as applicable. If you want to stop receiving such materials from Us, you can change your profile or follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
Our employees, agents and contractors must have a business reason to obtain access to your PII. We may share your PII with those who help us manage or provide Our services’ information activities (for example, message board administration, order fulfillment, statistical analyses, data processing), or with outside contractors, agents or sponsors who help us with the administration, judging and prize fulfillment aspects of contests, promotions and sweepstakes.
These outside contractors, agents or sponsors may temporarily store some information on their servers, but they may only use your PII to provide Us with a specific service and not for any other purpose. We may also provide your PII to a third party in those instances where you have chosen to receive certain information and have been notified that the fulfillment of such a request requires the sharing of your PII. We also may share your PII with Affiliated Companies if it has a business reason to do so.
As described herein, We may customize the advertising and marketing messages you receive on the Our Website, or may work with outside companies to do so. Your non-PII and/or Profile Information may be shared with these companies so this customization can be accomplished. We prohibit these companies from sharing any such information with any third party or from using it for any other purpose. Anonymous click stream, number of page views calculated by pixel tags, and aggregated demographic information may also be shared with Our advertisers and business partners.
There may be instances when We may access or disclose your Profile Information without providing you a choice in order to: (i) protect or defend Our legal rights or property, our Affiliated Companies or their employees, agents and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements); (ii) protect the safety and security of Users of the Our Services or members of the public including acting in urgent circumstances; (iii) protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; or (iv) comply with the law or legal process. In addition, if We sell all or part of Our business or make a sale or transfer of all or a material part of its assets or are otherwise involved in a merger or transfer of all or a material part of Our business, We may transfer your PII to the party or parties involved in the transaction as part of that transaction.
