About Me
I am the mother of two wonderful, dynamic children on the spectrum. I enjoy spending time with them, my wonderful friends, and my work at an environmental law firm. I enjoy writing and recording music, playing keyboards, and am teaching myself to play the guitar. I love humor.
If it had not been for the support I have received since my childrens' diagnosis, our lives would have been totally different. I have found that people in the "autism community" are the kindest, most generous individuals I have met in my life. If I can offer support to anyone as I received when I needed it, I would consider it an honor.
I am in the process of organizing the first "Dallas Rocks Against Autism" benefit, to be held April 9, 2011 at the Sons of Hermann Hall. The benefactors of this event are the Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law and Advocacy and Brains for Autism. This will be an evening of classic rock from the 1970's, performed by two awesome bands I have had the privilege to know for over 30 years. Great things are in the works for this event.
First, I am happy God had this plan for my life. Next, I am motivated by every hurdle my more severely affected son overcomes, his joyous outlook on life, every seemingly impossible mountain we conquer together and then roll down in happiness, and my pride in my older son who is a 14 year old awesome person that is going to do great things with his life. Daily, I am amazed by his unconditional love for his younger brother.

Let me extend to you my personal welcome to our AutismOne Social Network. AutismOne is now the “one-stop-shopping center” for information about autism. We have the annual conference in Chicago, AutismOne radio, the Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law and Advocacy, the AutismOne Social Network and the AutismOne Store.
We urge you to log in on a regular basis and read the blogs and articles. If you see something with which you agree or disagree then please add a comment with your thoughts. This is an open community designed to help and support. We like to hear all sides.
Then write a blog, long or short, to express your thoughts or ask a question. I am looking forward to reading your opinions.
With my best regards, Ed Arranga Executive Director AutismOne.org
