I changed the name of my book because I'm not writing it with my friend. (the other Cindy) anymore. It's called 'Turn the Light on Please." The simple guide from an Autism Mom.

It's partly my story and partly research. It's become more research then my story at the moment. It will be the book you give to your friends and family when you try to get them to understand. It's also the book for beginning parents. It's written for the mom who stays up all night to do research for their kids to figure out where to start. I was that mom who stayed up all night looking for a book just like this. The book I was looking for, doesn't exist so I am am writing it myself. It's a basic book about biomed and therapies that I did and when I did them.

Hi Cindy
Let me extend to you my personal welcome to our AutismOne Social Network. AutismOne is now the “one-stop-shopping center” for information about autism. We have the annual conference in Chicago, AutismOne radio, the Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law and Advocacy and now the AutismOne Social Network (and more to come).
I notice that you’ve not made any entries into your profile. Remember, this is a social network. Part of the function of a social network is to meet and interact with others who have common interests. Of course autism is a common interest. But there is more than that. Individuals like to know about a person before becoming a “friend.” That’s where the profile comes in. So whenever you can find the time, please fill in some of the entries of your profile. To do that just click on “My User Menu” next to the Welcome area on the right. From the resulting menu click on “Edit My Profile” and you will be in business.
Helping you interact with others is one of the many things we can do for you. Now here’s something you can do for us. Every new community requires a good hard kick start to get going. We need you to help us with that. Log in on a regular basis and read the blogs and articles then write a blog yourself. It can be on any subject of interest to you, preferably with some relevance to autism but not necessarily. It can be short or long, whatever it takes for you to express your thoughts. If you have a question then ask it in a blog--people read then they respond. If you see something with which you agree or disagree then please add a comment with your thoughts. This is an open community designed to help and support. We like to hear all sides.
I am looking forward to reading your opinions in future blogs and/or articles.
With my best regards
Will Price, CFO

Dear Cindy,

I wanted to welcome you to the Autism One.
By becoming an active participant you can support and inspire others. Your sharing experience can lift other parents to help them move forward on this path. Autism can be challenging and puzzling. You can make a difference; together we can effectively resolve issues in a collaborative manner by addressing questions and providing feedback.
My son Jordan has made remarkable progress so please don’t ever give up hope!
Feel free to share your thoughts, stories and wisdom for we are all in this together.
To quote, Brandi Snyder: “To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.”
Should you need any further assistance or information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

A Little About Me:

I'm writing a book about my identical twins recovery from autism. See Facebook for before and after videos.

Why I am a Part of the AutismOne Community:

I am promoting myself. I am part of Generation Rescue. I have a support group in Northern Virginia
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NoVa_FamiliesTreatingAutism/

What I am Here For:
My kids have healed me as I have healed them. Their recovery was different. Their allergies were different. I want people to see that even with identical twins who have the same genes that one can be more autistic than the other so this cannot be all genetics. It's genetic AND environmental.
My Daily Motivations:

As I discovered the GFCF diet and learned the route causes of my kids behaviors I understood that I had the same route causes in myself. We all have mitochondrial disorder, and we are all gluten and casein intolerant. We all have weak immunities and I feel sick without my supplements. They are so much happier and a joy while taking theirs.

Goals:
1. To get the schools to use the child's strengths to teach their weaknesses 2. If the schools take out the HFCS, MSG and artificial colors and flavors out of their foods, the kids will learn better and faster. 3. To help others learn that autism is partly environmental. 4. If autism is 100% genetic why don't all identical twins have autism 100%? I know some where only one twin does.
Help Needed:
I don't need any help. I just want to exchange information with people who think the way I do. If you have something to say, I will send it out.
Help to Give:

I have lots of information, articles and studies and If I find the right person to send it, I will.

Books / Magazines:
My book is going to be called"Tale of Two Cindys, Two Mothers journey through Autism. It's written by my friend Cindy Davis and myself.
Personal Heroes:
Anyone who has shown some improvements with their children when "experts" told them they couldn't.
