Lyme Disease in Autism: Diagnosis and Treatment Options

Lyme disease is often referred as the “Great Imitator” because patients with the disease present with neurological and physical symptoms found in other conditions. The author will summarise the knowledge gained in this field, from diagnosis to understanding the pathological processes taking place, as well as the naturopathic and antibiotic treatment options available. She will draw parallels between Lyme’s and other chronic infections affecting individuals with Autism.
