About Me
I am the mother of Brandon 5 who has high functionong autism, my nephew has aspergers and my 60 yr uncle has autism too.I am registered disabled awaiting a hip replacement .I run a parent support group called POSY parents of special youngsters, and am a volunteer and co-director of ASGMA autism society greater manchester area.I am chair of the local parents/council committe on play schemes for all,I also started a group to oppose the closure of the last specialist speech and language school in manchester,The Ewing school,thanks to manchester city council ,who want all our children with ASD/SLCN in mainstream schools..... yeah right ..with their reputations? I am also a parent governor of the school. I am married to Rob ,15 years, and we run a private hire mini cab business.
I would like more info on the bio medical interventions and the possibility that our children,some of them at least can get better,and therefore make a better future for themselves.
I am trying to get a programme off the ground called PETALLS parental education and teaching on autistic living and learning strategies.

I have a lot of experience in giving info out to parents and helping them thru the mine field of disability benefits and funding and grants available to them.
