I am in complete harmony with you. I've decided to stay in my bubble- with all my compassionate, understanding, like minded, supportive counterparts. It's so much easier that way. We need to protect ourselves from the unneeded stress of people who don't understand us, support us, or even try. Our kids are lucky! We are lucky to have them, too! With warmest regards, Leslie

Dear Regina,

Let me extend to you my personal welcome to our AutismOne Social Network. AutismOne is now the “one-stop-shopping center” for information about autism. We have the annual conference in Chicago, AutismOne radio, the Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law and Advocacy and now the AutismOne Social Network (and more to come).
Thank you for filling in your profile entries as these help people with common interests find you.
Helping you interact with others is one of the many things we can do for you. Now here’s something you can do for us. Log in on a regular basis and read the blogs and articles then write a blog yourself. It can be on any subject of interest to you, preferably with some relevance to autism but not necessarily. It can be short or long, whatever it takes for you to express your thoughts. If you have a question then ask it in a blog--people read then they respond. If you see something with which you agree or disagree then please add a comment with your thoughts. This is an open community designed to help and support. We like to hear all sides.
I am looking forward to reading your opinions in future blogs and/or articles.
With my best regards

I cant agree with you more about how much autism has changed my life! It has made me a much better person, mother, friend, and just a better human being. No more judging people without thinking first of why or what got them to be the way they are, no more worries about material things, cause they don't matter, health DOES! I have lost so many material things since this journey into recovery began, but in return I gained so much more, I have gaained Faith, Hope, strengh, and Health! Things I guess I didn't realize i had before, I am now aware of everything that harms us and things that are so symple yet so healthy and beneficial. Thank you god that it was autism and not something I could not physically fix! Yay to recovery, and YAy to WArrior Mothers like you and ME!

A Little About Me:

While what I am about to say may seem "CRAZY" to most people, but, I am so GRATEFUL that autism touched my life. My family has bloomed because of our sons diagnosis. We are better people because of AUTISM! We have more FAITH because of autism. I am a better mom because of autism. Most importantly I KNOW.. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE if you only BELIEVE!

Why I am a Part of the AutismOne Community:

I was very lucky at the time of my sons diagnosis to have had friends who had already gone through it. They were my crutch. Now my son is recovering and I know the potential for our children to get better. Never give up!!

My Daily Motivations:

Never thought I would be so inspired by a single word.. My son Dylan is my motivation! All children with special needs are what motivate me! They Are so STRONG! They have to work so much harder then we do to accomplish the same goals.

Goals:
My goal is to fully recover my child from Autism. I know we will!
