Intensive Workshop: The Cost of Autism
This workshop will describe for you the costs of autism and propose ways our Nation can respond. You will be provided with tools you can use to communicate how these costs affect every American, not just families directly affected by autism. Additionally, you will be guided through a variety of web-based resources you can use to prepare you for discussions with decision makers who may not have an affected family member, and you will be provided with risk-based communications support so that you can speak in terms that will resonate.

Janet Ferguson, PhD
Dr. Ferguson is an analyst with a 15-year career in academia and the federal government in the support of research and science policy. Her experience includes program analysis, environmental health, population, and economic analysis.
