Let me extend to you my personal welcome to our AutismOne Social Network. AutismOne is now the “one-stop-shopping center” for information about autism. We have the annual conference in Chicago, AutismOne radio, the Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law and Advocacy, the AutismOne Social Network and the AutismOne Store.

We urge you to log in on a regular basis and read the blogs and articles. If you see something with which you agree or disagree then please add a comment with your thoughts. This is an open community designed to help and support. We like to hear all sides.

Then write a blog, long or short, to express your thoughts or ask a question. I am looking forward to reading your opinions.

With my best regards,
Ed Arranga Executive Director AutismOne.org

About Me
Relationship Status:
Married
Here For:
Networking
Occupation:
Writer, Editor, Theatre Director, Business Manager, Non-Profit Project Director
A Little About Me:

I write and edit technical and creative communications, direct plays, operate Lost Creek Mushroom Farm and sell Shiitake Mushroom log kits. I write and make presentations about the healing, health, and spiritual gifts of mushrooms. I do Reiki and remote healing work, quilt, and live by a pond in a beautiful place in the country. I have a wonderful husband, great friends, and am close to Nature. We have Mushrooms in Ghana Project, working with small-scale mushroom growers in West Africa, most of them women, to increase their production and profits.

Why I am a Part of the AutismOne Community:

I edited Saving Ben: A Father's Story of Autism, written by my friend Dan E. Burns about raising his son Ben. As a consequence, I received a press pass to the AutismOne 2010 conference and scribed for events throughout the conference. Dan and I interviewed Autism Activitists, wrote articles and published them. I am still editing Dan's blogs and following the course of autism. I see clearly the potential for mushrooms that can create positive effects in immune-system function, communication, creativity, emotional balance and self-expression for people on the autism spectrum.

What I am Here For:
To learn about autism and to teach about mushrooms
